On December 13, Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said, as part of a working trip to the Jaikhun district, visited the Istiqlol Fruit dehkan farm located in the Mushfiqi mahalla of the Dusti jamoat and got acquainted with the process of harvesting carrots and sowing early onions.
The Istiklol Fruit farm was established in 2015 on an area of 10 hectares of fertile land. Its leader is Shukhrat Abdurakhimov, and the number of followers is 22 people.
According to the press service of the chairman of the Khatlon region, this year the main cultivated areas have been sown: onion 2 ha, wheat 1 ha, potato 0.20 ha, clover 1 ha, cotton 1 ha, 2.50 ha, carrot 5.50 ha, walnut 1 ha.
60 tons of onions, 22 quintals of cotton, 400 quintals of planters, from 50 to 55 quintals of wheat, 200 quintals of potatoes, 7 tons of walnuts, 160 tons of carrots for sale were harvested from the main crop. At the moment, 90 tons of carrots have been harvested.
Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said got acquainted with the cultivation of early onions and carrot harvesting and instructed the heads to maximize the use of existing production facilities to ensure food security.
