The ceremony to send off over a thousand new recruits from across the Khatlon region to their places of service took place today in Bokhtar. On this day, a procession was held during which the young men demonstrated their readiness to defend the Motherland and its borders.
The solemn event was attended by the Chairman of the Khatlon Region, Davlatali Said, parents of the young men, and representatives of city and district military commissariats.
In his speech, the regional head emphasized that defending the homeland is a sacred duty of every citizen. The youth have become more responsible, and military service is now considered prestigious. Today, parents must pay special attention to raising the younger generation, on whom the future of the state and society depends as a whole. The Government and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan are taking all necessary measures for youth development. The State Youth Policy aims to provide young people with access to quality education, sports, and employment.
This shows that great attention has recently been paid to the upbringing of the youth. In turn, the young people must live up to the expectations placed upon them,” noted the regional head.
In conclusion, mothers saw off their sons with the traditional “nongazon” ritual, wishing them conscientious service.
The festive event ended with a large concert program.
