Dear compatriots!
I sincerely congratulate all of you on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, which is considered one of the blessed and sacred religious holidays for all noble people of our country. I wish happiness, health, and a prosperous and peaceful life to every family.
It should be noted that on the eve of the blessed month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr holiday, every conscientious person strives to do good deeds, bring joy to the hearts of orphans and people with disabilities, extend a helping hand to the sick, needy, and disadvantaged families, and thereby earn even greater spiritual reward.
Undoubtedly, charity and generosity before the holiday are a good tradition and custom, which our people respect. In particular, in the 60th verse of Surah At-Tawbah in the Quran, it is said: “Alms are for the poor and the needy…”
Today, the global community is going through a difficult and unpredictable phase, and every resident of our region must strive more than ever to protect our state independence and national values, educate and train youth and teenagers in the spirit of patriotism, acquire knowledge and professional skills, take necessary measures to prevent youth from joining extremist parties and movements, and avoid their temptation by radical ideologies.
In this regard, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, emphasized in his speech on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan: “In modern global conditions, when humanity faces economic, social, cultural, and educational crises, we must protect our national, cultural, and religious values.” He also noted: “Above all, we must correctly understand the true essence of Islamic culture, protect it from all kinds of misconceptions and superstitions, and use it in the spirit of a complete human being.”
On this blessed day, considering the difficulties and challenges the world faces, I call on everyone to remember frugality and generosity, avoid ostentatious luxury and wastefulness, and, in accordance with the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Regulation of Celebrations and Rituals in the Republic of Tajikistan,” to support orphans, people with disabilities, the needy and low-income families, and perform other good deeds.
Dear compatriots!
Today, to increase interest in reading, strengthen intellectual potential, discover new talents, promote national and cultural values, develop creative abilities, and spiritually enrich the population of the region, including teenagers and youth, republican competitions “The Radiance of Wisdom at Dawn – Book,” “Tajikistan – My Beloved Homeland,” and “Science – The Beacon of Enlightenment” are being held with the support and constant attention of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. The rewards for the winners of the republican stage of these competitions have been increased by 100%, and our youth should take advantage of these opportunities to participate in the competitions and further improve their knowledge.
To popularize reading and attract youth, teenagers, and other segments of society to books, 2025 has been declared the “Year of Reading Culture” in Khatlon region. In this direction, informational and promotional activities are being conducted among the population in accordance with the plan of the executive authorities of the region.
It should be noted that the pursuit of knowledge involves not only religious education but also the study of modern sciences, which is necessary for everyone. Indeed, acquiring useful knowledge, applying it, and passing it on to others are qualities that have always been admired.
I am confident that the proud and hardworking residents of Khatlon, following the instructions and guidance of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, will diligently work to achieve the strategic goals of the state and government, show constructive initiatives, and make a worthy contribution to the celebration of important historical dates, including the grand national holiday – the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
With hope for the prosperity of our beloved Motherland, the preservation of peace and stability, and the unity of our country, I once again congratulate the noble people of the region on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and wish every family well-being, happiness, and peaceful life, and our beloved Tajikistan – progress and prosperity.
Happy Eid al-Fitr, dear compatriots!
