Chairman of Khatlon Region Davlatali Said, during a working visit on March 19 to Kubodiyon district, familiarized himself with the progress of early onion cultivation at the dehkan farm “Samariddin” and took part in the launch of cotton planting under plastic film at the dehkan farm “Azamjon-2022.”
The head of the “Azamjon-2022” farm, Oybek Nazarov, reported that the total area of the farm is 10 hectares, of which 1 hectare is planted with early onions, 2.5 hectares with wheat, and 6.5 hectares with cotton under plastic film. The farm has 10 shareholders.
The head of the “Samariddin” farm, Dalerjon Gafurov, reported that the total area of the farm is 10 hectares, with 2.5 hectares planted with early onions, 1 hectare with wheat, and 6.5 hectares with cotton under polyethylene film. The farm has 4 shareholders.
Reviewing the growth of the agricultural crops both in the main and repeated sowings, the regional chairman expressed satisfaction with the farming experience of the district’s farmers and called the fruits of their hard work exemplary. The regional leader spoke with the dehkan farmers and provided them with useful advice and recommendations for more effective land use and increased agricultural production.
Based on the instructions and directives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, who spoke at the expanded government meeting with farmers, this year in Khatlon region, cotton will be planted on an area of 124,500 hectares, of which 41,000 hectares will be sown using the new method under plastic film.
