On 24 September 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan between the Minister of Finance, Kakhkhorzoda Fayziddin Sattor, and the Regional Director of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) for the Middle East, North Africa, Europe, and Central Asia, Mr. Naoufel Telaïhig.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the effective ongoing cooperation within the framework of IFAD projects. In particular, the projects “Market Access and Livestock Adaptation” and “Agricultural Governance and Digitalization for Strengthening Food Security” were reviewed. These projects are aimed at rural development, improving agricultural efficiency, and enhancing the living standards of rural populations.
In addition, the sides emphasized the need to expand and continue cooperation, especially in such areas as improving farmers’ access to modern technologies, targeted financing for rural entrepreneurship development, and expanding water resources for climate change adaptation.
