On 13 May 2025, in the city of Kuwait, State of Kuwait, a meeting was held between the Tajik delegation led by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Usmonzoda Usmonali Yunusali, and the Minister of Finance of the country, Kakhkhorzoda Fayziddin Sattor, and the Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development, Waleed Shamlon Al-Bahar.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the Fund in financing major infrastructure projects, such as the construction of highways, rehabilitation of power transmission networks and irrigation systems, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
In addition, the Tajik delegation expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Fund for its continued support and significant contribution to the development of the country’s infrastructure, in particular for financing the construction of the Rogun Hydropower Plant, which plays an important role in strengthening Tajikistan’s energy security.
