With the view of familiarization with the experience of the Republic of Armenia in the direction of results-oriented budgeting, implementation of reforms in the education system, including at the level of primary and secondary vocational education, ensuring the transparency of the state budget, implementation of measures for external control over the execution of the state budget, the Delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, the representatives of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor, Migration and Employment, the Committee on Primary and Secondary Vocational Education, as well as other representatives of ministries and departments and employees of local financial authorities have completed a number of meetings with the government agencies of the Republic of Armenia within the period from July 15 to July 16, 2024 under the Financial Agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the European Union on “Education and Technical Training and the Employment Budget Support Program”.
In this process, a meeting was held between Mr. Qurboniyon Sarvar, the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mr. Sirunyan Vahan, the Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Armenia under which the experience of this country in the direction of public finance management was reviewed, including the introduction of a system of program budgeting and budget transparency and at the same time the issues related to the exchange of experience were discussed during the meeting.
At the same time, the relevant meetings were held with the management of the Budget Department of the Parliament of Armenia, the Chamber of Auditors and the Ministry of Education, during which the experience of the Republic of Armenia in implementing measures for external control over the execution of the state budget, effective audit, reforms at level of primary and secondary vocational education was presented.
It should be noted that, in general the parties have expressed their readiness to expand the bilateral cooperation, exchange experience as well as familiarize with the experience of the Republic of Tajikistan in the direction of public financial management.
