As part of a visit to the State of Qatar, a meeting was held in the city of Doha between the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kakhkhorzoda Fayziddin Sattor, and the Director General of the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), Mr. Fahad Hamad Hassan Al-Sulaiti.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of bilateral cooperation and noted that friendly relations and constructive partnership serve as an important factor for expanding ties in socio-economic sectors.
During the meeting, the Minister of Finance provided detailed information on the implementation process of priority national projects, with particular emphasis on the energy sector, and called on the Fund to expand its financing opportunities for key priority projects in the country.
Mr. Al-Sulaiti expressed the Qatar Fund for Development’s readiness to further strengthen cooperation and provide financing for priority sectors of Tajikistan, including energy, education, and healthcare.
It should be noted that on 28 August 2025, a financial agreement worth 50 million USD was signed between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Qatar Fund for Development for the continuation of the construction of the Rogun Hydropower Plant.
