On 4 November 2025 in the city of Doha, State of Qatar, a meeting was held between the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kakhkhorzoda Fayziddin Sattor, and the Director General of Qatar Development Bank (QDB), member of the Supervisory Board of the Qatar Fund for Development, Abdulrahman Hisham Al-Sowaidi.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of bilateral relations and emphasized that the friendly and trust-based relations between the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the Amir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, provide a solid foundation for the comprehensive development of partnership.
During the meeting, issues related to attracting financing for Tajikistan’s priority projects were discussed. The Minister of Finance provided detailed information on the country’s priority projects.
The meeting also focused on potential cooperation in infrastructure, industry, education, healthcare, digitalization, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
In response, the Director of Qatar Development Bank expressed readiness to finance energy projects and support other priority initiatives of Tajikistan.
The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, and both sides expressed full readiness to establish cooperation in implementing Tajikistan’s priority projects with financing from the Bank.
