In the second half of 27 October 2025, in the city of Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a meeting was held between the First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Majidi Yusuf Khairullo, and the Director of the Procurement and Financial Management Department of the Islamic Development Bank Group, Mr. Aamir Mir.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to improving the efficiency of project implementation processes, transparency, and compliance with international standards, and emphasized the key role of timely coordination between implementing agencies and the Bank.
The Tajik side requested the Bank to assist in accelerating procurement procedures in the implementation of priority state investment projects, particularly the Rogun Hydropower Plant. It was noted that active technical support from the Bank and the use of modern procurement mechanisms would contribute to improving the quality of project implementation.
At the same time, the sides discussed the possibility of organizing training sessions for specialists involved in procurement of state investment projects (with a focus on planning, document preparation, evaluation, and implementation monitoring), as well as engaging qualified consultants to support implementing teams.
