On 16 July 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan between the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Kakhhordzoda Fayziddin Sattor, and the Minister of Economy and Tourism of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri.
During the meeting, the sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of friendly and mutually beneficial relations and confirmed their readiness to expand economic, financial, and investment cooperation.
The Minister of Finance also expressed gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for its significant contribution to infrastructure development, particularly road construction in Tajikistan, and presented the country’s investment opportunities in the fields of energy, finance, agriculture, transport, light industry, and tourism, inviting the Emirati side to invest in these sectors.
In addition, the Minister of Finance highlighted the importance of the Rogun Hydropower Plant and called on the United Arab Emirates to facilitate, through the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), the acceleration of financing procedures for this major project.
In conclusion, the sides emphasized their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and implement joint projects based on reliable partnership.
