On May 22, 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan between Minister of Finance Fayziddin Sattorovich Kahhorzoda and the World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia, Ms. Tatyana Proskuryakova, as well as the World Bank Regional Director for Infrastructure in Europe and Central Asia, Mr. Charles Cormier, who arrived on a working visit to Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the continuation of the construction of the Rogun Hydroelectric Power Plant, the implementation of existing financial agreements, and further coordination of activities among development partners.
