Within the framework of the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank, held in Algiers, the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, the First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, Yusuf Khairullo Majidi, held a meeting with the Head of the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development (ISFD), Odil Al Sharif.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for cooperation between Tajikistan and ISFD. It was noted that currently ISFD is implementing three major projects in Tajikistan in the fields of education and agriculture with a total amount of 35 million US dollars.
The Tajik side expressed satisfaction with the concessional financing provided by ISFD and emphasized its interest in expanding further cooperation through the implementation of two new projects in the education sector totaling 20 million dollars, as well as an irrigation project in the Khatlon region amounting to 15 million US dollars.
The parties expressed their readiness to strengthen effective cooperation for the socio-economic development of Tajikistan.
