On 6 May 2025, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan between the Minister of Finance, Kakhhordzoda Fayziddin Sattor, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Tajikistan, Ms. Katherine Smitton.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister of Finance sincerely congratulated Ms. Katherine Smitton on her appointment to this responsible position and wished her success in carrying out her diplomatic mission.
During the meeting, the sides discussed important issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of education, economy, and finance, with particular emphasis on opportunities for private sector development and attracting investment from the United Kingdom to Tajikistan.
In this regard, special attention was given to the development of business incubators, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and strengthening the country’s investment climate.
