In a rapidly evolving world, digital transformation and artificial intelligence are reshaping approaches to development, innovation, and sustainability. Tajikistan, as one of the leading countries in Central Asia, is steadily advancing the integration of digital technologies across all sectors of its economy.
On April 21, a key meeting was held in Bokhtar with the participation of Khatlon Region Chairman Davlatali Said, Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan Kurbon Hakimzoda, and World Bank representative Hazem Ibrahim Hanbal, along with agricultural sector stakeholders.
The event was organized within the framework of the state policy for agricultural development and improving sector efficiency. Key issues discussed included digitalization, the adoption of modern technologies, and ensuring sustainable agricultural production.
With the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, under the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project, the State Institution " Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development" delivered 408 units of modern office equipment to agricultural departments across cities and districts of the region.
This initiative will contribute to the development of electronic governance in the sector and improve the quality of service delivery. Participants also exchanged views on attracting investment, implementing sectoral programs, and strengthening international cooperation.
It was emphasized that such initiatives create a solid foundation for sustainable agricultural development and food security in the region.
