The Agricultural Management Information System (AMIS) is a modern digital platform designed for the collection, analysis, and management of agricultural sector data. The system enables field-level data, satellite-derived information, and agricultural statistics to be integrated into a single unified platform, allowing them to be effectively utilized for timely, informed, and evidence-based decision-making.
As part of the implementation of the Agricultural Management Information System, a delegation comprising Deputy Minister of Agriculture Bahrom Ahmadzoda, representatives of the Executive Authority of Sughd Region, and the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” held an important meeting last week in Khujand, Sughd Region, with officials responsible for the agricultural sector.
The event was organized within the framework of the Government’s policy aimed at developing the agricultural sector and enhancing its efficiency. Discussions focused on key issues related to the digitalization of agriculture, the adoption of modern technologies, and measures to ensure sustainable agricultural production.
With the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and under the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project (SRASP), the State Institution “Agriculture Entrepreneurship Development” provided 239 units of modern office equipment to the agricultural departments of 15 cities and districts of Sughd Region. The equipment included laptops, desktop computers, printers, and other essential office accessories. This initiative is expected to contribute to the development of an electronic agricultural management system and improve the quality of public services provided by the sector.
It is worth noting that, during the current year, the Institution supplied a total of 900 units of modern office equipment to agricultural departments across cities and districts of the country under the Strengthening Resilience of the Agriculture Sector Project. The equipment included 180 laptops, 180 desktop computers, 180 printers, and 360 additional office accessories and equipment. This support will facilitate the nationwide implementation of the Agricultural Management Information System and contribute to the digital transformation of the agricultural sector.
