On April 9, a meeting of the Standing Commission of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the CIS on Social Policy and Human Rights was held in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation. During the meeting, draft recommendations titled "On Coordinated Conceptual Approaches for Organizing Labor Standards in CIS Member States, Taking into Account the Introduction of Digital Technologies" were approved.
These conceptual approaches serve as the foundation for the recommendations adopted at the Commission meeting. Their goal is to define the primary directions, forms, and methods for the phased implementation of labor standards at all levels of management, while considering the specific characteristics of the national economies of the Commonwealth member states. Furthermore, emphasis is placed on the extensive use of innovative technologies and digitalization to improve the labor standards management system, providing organizations with modern resources and specialized training for industry specialists.
Cooperation in the field of labor standards is considered a priority area of social and labor activity within the framework of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
The next meeting of the Council is expected to review and approve the Key Action Plan for 2026–2030.
