A delegation of deputies from the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, led by Ilhom Kamolzoda, Chairman of the Committee on State Structure and Local Self-Government, and Hakim Davlatzod, a member of the same Committee, visited the Republic of Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yermek Kosherbayev.
The visit, held from March 11 to 16, 2026, took place in the city of Astana, with the delegation participating in an international monitoring mission for the preparation and conduct of the republican referendum on the adoption of Kazakhstan’s new Constitution. The delegation represented international observers from the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states and the Parliamentary Assembly of the SCO.
According to the Tajik observers, the coordination and organization of the process were evident at all levels. “Even in smaller towns and rural areas, we observed exemplary order and discipline. Commission members clearly understand their responsibilities and interact respectfully with observers and media representatives. The active participation of rural residents highlights the importance of the proposed reforms not only for major cities but for the entire country,” the observers noted.
