Today, the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. F. Idizoda, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Aimurod Qochmurodov.
During the meeting, Mr. Idizoda noted that diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tajikistan were established in 1993. The legal framework for bilateral cooperation now includes more than 138 official documents.
In recent years, the multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan has steadily expanded, thanks to the constructive initiatives of the top leadership of both countries: the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the National Leader of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow.
The commissioning of the Makhtumkuli Fragi secondary educational institution in the Dusti district of the Khatlon region is a tangible result of the visionary policies of our leaders and the enduring friendship and brotherhood between our peoples.
Our strategic partnership enables us to maintain unified positions within various international and regional organizations and platforms, such as the UN, OSCE, CIS, UNESCO, Central Asia-China, Central Asia-India, Central Asia-Japan, Central Asia-Korea, and others.
Inter-parliamentary cooperation with Turkmenistan fosters the exchange of experience, alignment on pressing regional and global issues, and mutual support for constructive initiatives on the international stage.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon has established a Friendship and Cooperation Group with the People's Council of the Gengesh Milli of Turkmenistan, which continues to operate effectively and harmoniously.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon remains committed to promoting bilateral relations through existing cooperation mechanisms, particularly inter-parliamentary collaboration within the framework of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Friendship Group.
