In 2026, with the aim of increasing the level of environmental awareness among students of educational institutions in cities and districts of the republic, an Olympiad - quiz among “Green Inspectors” teams was organized and held. The event was conducted in cooperation between the Main Department of Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region, the Department of Education of the Sughd Region, and the Public Organization “Youth Group for Environmental Protection,” in honor of April 15 - World Environmental Knowledge Day. It took place in the hall of the Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Tajikistan in the city of Buston.
The event brought together teams from general education institutions of the city of Istiqlol (2 schools), the Gozien jamoat of Bobojon Ghafurov district (2 schools), the Lyceum for Gifted Students of the city of Khujand, as well as Additional Education Centers of the cities of Buston and Guliston - a total of 7 teams.
According to the final scores: 1st place was awarded to the team “Green Desant” - Lyceum for Gifted Students of Khujand, 2nd place went to the team “EcoTime” - Secondary School “№ 21 of Gozien jamoat, B. Ghafurov district, 3rd place was taken by the team “Eco Followers” - Secondary School № 2 of Istiqlol.
The winners were awarded a cup and prizes. All other participants of the Olympiad -quiz were also presented with commemorative gifts.
