In accordance with the guideline “Manual on Environmental Education in Preschool Institutions,” new environmental lessons and activities are being conducted on a pilot basis in five preschool institutions in the cities and districts of Khujand, Bobojon Gafurov, Istiqlol, Buston, and Guliston.
The event was attended by the Chief Specialist of the Main Department for Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region and a responsible representative of the Public Organization “Youth Group for Environmental Protection,” who are the developers of the above-mentioned manual.
An open environmental lesson titled “Protect Nature” was held in Russian in the music hall of Kindergarten No. 18 in the city of Khujand, with the participation of children from the preparatory group.
During the open lesson, which was dedicated to various areas of environmental protection - including flora and fauna, atmospheric air, waste management, prevention of river water pollution, forest protection, waste sorting, and other related topics - both informational and practical activities were conducted by the educator-ecologist.
At the request of the head of the kindergarten, the Chief Specialist spoke to the children about the purpose of the Red Book of Tajikistan and rare species of plants and animals.
Further cooperation with preschool institutions of cities and districts, assistance in conducting environmental lessons, and the provision of necessary visual materials are planned for the near future.
