Guliston, a city located on the shore of the “Bakhri Tajik” reservoir and home to numerous recreational areas, attracts a large number of tourists from both within the country and abroad during the summer season. For this reason, ecological campaigns and other beautification activities are held weekly in different parts of the city to maintain cleanliness and improve the environment.
The Department of Environmental Protection of Guliston organized, with the participation of 100 residents, the “Clean Neighborhood” and “Clean Roads” campaigns, during which 3.7 km of roads were cleaned and 4 cubic meters of waste were collected.
In addition, at the Guliston city administration building, located near the National Park “Vahdat” in the Bobojon Ghafurov district, greening work is being carried out, including the planting of various types of evergreen trees in the yard and surrounding areas.
During the recent tree-planting campaign at this site, 1,000 decorative and shade-providing trees were planted, provided by the Main Department of Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region.
