In his recent Address, the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, noted that at the initiative of Tajikistan, the United Nations, taking into account the issue of climate change, declared 2025 - 2034 as the “International Decade of Cryospheric Sciences.” In order to implement this initiative, numerous activities are being carried out within Tajik society.
Indeed, climate change is one of the global environmental challenges not only for Tajikistan, but also a matter of concern for the entire international community.
To take effective measures in this direction, the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is implementing a state greening program. Currently, in all cities and districts of the country, including the capital - Dushanbe, the process of greening neighborhoods, mahallas, hills, and elevated areas has been intensified.
In support of greening the capital and transforming Dushanbe into a green city, in accordance with the decision of the leadership of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, during the autumn 2025 tree - planting season and in the spring of 2026, 3,600 decorative pine saplings were planted in the State Unitary Enterprise Victory Park and in the forested areas of Dushanbe.
As part of the expansion of beautification and development efforts dedicated to the достойное celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, tree - planting and greening activities were also organized.
