In January of the current year, the “Clean Air” operation was conducted on the Dushanbe–Bokhtar highway by employees of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Ecology and Tourism Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The operation was carried out in accordance with the Committee’s Work Plan for the first half of 2026, with the aim of improving ambient air quality and strengthening effective state activities in the field of environmental protection.
During the operation, administrative offense reports were drawn up against seven drivers whose vehicles had not passed the mandatory technical inspection and whose emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere exceeded the established standards.
At the same time, explanatory and awareness-raising activities were conducted with vehicle drivers regarding compliance with the norms and requirements of environmental protection legislation, as well as urban improvement regulations.
