During the period from January 27 to 29 of the current year, due to atmospheric precipitation and its intensification, especially on January 28 and during the night of January 29, an increased risk of avalanches is forecast in certain areas of the republic.
A heightened avalanche risk is expected in the following areas:
- the Dushanbe–Chanok highway (kilometers 48–74);
- the avalanche-prone areas of Maykhura and Zidde in the Varzob District;
- the mountainous districts under republican subordination;
- as well as the avalanche-prone zones of Manem, Vuzh, Tangiv, and Bidu in the Shughnon District of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, citizens and drivers are advised to avoid traveling to mountainous and avalanche-prone areas unless absolutely necessary.
Relevant road and transport services are advised to take the necessary preventive measures.
