Local environmental protection authorities act as supervisory bodies that exercise continuous control over the implementation and observance of the requirements of the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Environmental Protection.”
According to paragraph 1 of Article 39 of this law, carrying out preparatory work on-site, as well as the construction, repair, and reconstruction of facilities, regardless of ownership or subordination, is prohibited without a positive conclusion from the state environmental expertise.
During state inspection activities conducted in the city of Kanibadam and examinations of newly commissioned festive facilities, it was found that in a number of general education institutions, additional auxiliary structures had been built and put into operation without obtaining a conclusion from the state environmental expertise, which constitutes a violation of the requirements of the aforementioned law.
Specialists of the main department drew up administrative offense reports against the responsible persons of these institutions and submitted them for appropriate action.
