On October 27 of this year, a ceremonial event was held in the conference hall of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the participation of members of the Committee’s eco-volunteer club. The event was dedicated to presenting commemorative gifts to the winners of the art contest on the theme “Amu Darya – River of Life.”
It should be noted that, in order to encourage members of the eco-volunteer club, a contest was announced within the framework of Point 41 of the “State Comprehensive Program for the Development of Environmental Education and Awareness in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021–2025” in three categories: article, video, and drawing. The results of the contest have now been finalized.
Participants of the event warmly welcomed the creation of an eco-volunteer club under the Dushanbe City Hall and expressed their commitment to cooperate in maintaining the cleanliness and beautification of the city.
The event also included discussions on the prospective activities of the Committee’s eco-volunteers, as well as the preparation of certain measures for the development of the volunteer movement within the framework of the new State project on environmental education.
At the conclusion of the event, commemorative gifts were presented to the contest winners. In addition, two members of the eco-volunteer club—Marhabo Radzhabova, for the best drawing, and Saddam Alibakhshov, for the best video—received travel vouchers to participate in a regional event to be held in Tashkent.
