In order to implement the instructions and directives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, expressed on September 17 of this year during his meeting with the staff of environmental protection agencies, as well as to improve the ecological situation and ensure a favorable state of the environment, and based on the telegram of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the coordination of the executive authorities of Sughd Region, environmental actions titled “Clean Area,” “Clean Road,” and “Clean Riverbank” were organized and carried out across the region.
Residents of cities, districts, jamoats, and villages, along with employees of various organizations and institutions, took an active part in the actions— a total of 6,320 participants. The volume of waste collected amounted to 141 m³, and the total cleaned area covered 22,800 m².
Within the framework of these environmental actions, two cases of violations were recorded in the city of Isfara, while in the cities of Istaravshan and Khujand, abandoned waste was removed with the assistance of municipal equipment and lifting machinery.
