On June 24 of this year, a meeting of the working group on the implementation of the Medium-Term Development Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021–2025 was held at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan. The meeting was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies, including the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of the strategic national development goals outlined in the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan until 2030 were discussed. The compliance of indicators across various sectors with the program’s benchmarks was assessed, and the level of their implementation was presented in a clear and detailed manner.
The representatives of the Committee for Environmental Protection drew participants’ attention to the importance of effectively implementing measures for environmental protection, the rational use of natural resources, and adaptation to climate change.
The meeting concluded with the development of proposals and recommendations to strengthen the mechanisms for implementing the Program and coordinating development policies at all levels of governance.
