On May 3, 2026, the President of the Tajikistan Academy of Agricultural Sciences (TAAS), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Academician of TAAS Salimzoda Amonullo Fayzullo, together with the Deputy Director for Economics, Production, and Implementation of Achievements of the Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Vegetable Growing of TAAS, Aminov Kh.Kh., conducted a working visit to several scientific and experimental institutions of the Tajikistan Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Khatlon Region. The purpose of the visit was to assess the agroecological and production conditions of subordinate farms following the heavy rainfall of recent days.
During visits to the Branch of the Institute of Crop Production in Khatlon Region, the Vakhsh Reclamation Station of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry, and the Station of Citrus and Subtropical Crops of the Institute of Horticulture, Viticulture and Vegetable Growing of TAAS in Jaloliddin Balkhi District, a detailed analysis was conducted regarding the actual state of agricultural crop development, the efficiency of land use, and the level of implementation of agrotechnical measures.
The observation results demonstrated that production processes in these institutions are managed according to scientific requirements, and the condition of agricultural crops, including cotton, remains at a satisfactory level. It was noted that following the recent rainfall, cotton germination proceeded successfully, and its growth dynamics were assessed as being in accordance with agrotechnical standards. At the same time, the condition of fruit-bearing trees and productivity indicators also received positive evaluations.
At the conclusion of the visit, Salimzoda Amonullo Fayzullo provided specific instructions to the heads of the institutions and emphasized the need to take additional measures to ensure full compliance with modern agrotechnical requirements, rational use of land resources, and increased agricultural productivity. He also stressed the importance of strengthening the integration of science and production, implementing innovative technologies, and maintaining continuous monitoring of land conditions as key factors for the sustainable development of the sector.
