Today, Head of the Office of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdujabbor Sattorzoda held a meeting with Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain Muhammad Al-Sisi Al-Buainain.
During the talks, it was noted that the meeting took place on the eve of the Standing Committee meeting of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly. The Asian Parliamentary Assembly serves not only as an important platform for political dialogue among Asian parliaments, but also as an effective forum for establishing direct professional ties between parliamentary institutions.
It was noted that diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain were established on May 20, 1995. Since then, political, economic, trade, and cultural ties between the two countries have gradually expanded and strengthened.
The friendly and trusting relations between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, play a crucial role in strengthening bilateral relations.
It was emphasized that direct contacts between the offices of the two parliaments can give new practical substance to inter-parliamentary cooperation and create additional opportunities for interaction.
“We support the establishment of regular working contacts between the Office of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Secretariat of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In our view, the exchange of experience in the areas of organizational and legal support for parliamentary activities, preparation of plenary and committee meetings, work with legislative acts, development of international relations, protocol, information and analytical support, as well as the improvement of document management systems, will be mutually beneficial,” Abdujabbor Sattorzoda stated.
