Today, the Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Aziz Ghiyozoda, held a meeting with the delegation of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the National People's Congress of China.
It was noted that Tajikistan and China are bound by strong ties of friendship, good-neighborliness, and comprehensive strategic partnership. Over the 34 years of diplomatic relations, our countries have come a long way. Today, the relations between Tajikistan and China are at an exceptionally high level. They are characterized by political trust, mutual respect, and continuous support for each other's long-term interests.
An important role in this process is played by the political will and personal attention of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, the Esteemed Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the People's Republic of China, respected Xi Jinping.
Agreements reached at the highest level open up wide opportunities for the further strengthening of our strategic partnership. In this process, inter-parliamentary cooperation occupies a special place. Parliaments are an important pillar of bilateral relations. They create opportunities for a continuous dialogue, exchange of experience, and ensuring the legislative framework for the agreements reached at the highest level.
Tajikistan highly appreciates the relations of friendship and strategic partnership with the People's Republic of China.
"We are interested in the further strengthening of direct ties between the Majlisi Namoyandagon and the National People's Congress of China. We consider the development of cooperation between specialized committees to be especially important. We believe that close parliamentary cooperation will contribute to the further strengthening of mutual trust and practical interaction between our countries," Aziz Ghiyozoda stated at the end of the meeting.
