Today, under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda, a festive event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was held in the Majlisi Namoyandagon.
Faizali Idizoda noted that for the ancient and culturally rich Tajik people, gaining State Independence is not merely a calendar date, but the greatest and most sacred asset, a symbol of sovereignty, national freedom, the revival of Tajik statehood, pride, and patriotic dignity, as well as the foundation for the country's steady development, happiness, and a dignified life for the citizens of Tajikistan.
As a result of implementing a balanced and successful policy, and taking prudent and fair measures during the period of state independence under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, the Esteemed Emomali Rahmon, large-scale creative and construction works have been carried out across the country.
During this period, roads, bridges, tunnels, hydroelectric power plants, educational and medical institutions, and other facilities were built and reconstructed in the cities and districts of the republic. The "Istiqlol", "Shahriston", and "Khatlon" tunnels made a significant contribution to overcoming the transport and communication deadlock and improving transport links between the country's regions.
One of the most important areas of Tajikistan's development is the energy sector. The construction and commissioning of hydroelectric power plants, including "Sangtuda-1" and "Sangtuda-2", as well as the construction of the "project of the century" – the Rogun Hydropower Plant – are of key importance for increasing the country's energy potential and gradually contribute to achieving the main strategic goal, namely ensuring energy independence and the sustainable development of the national economy.
The capital of our beloved Motherland – the city of Dushanbe – has become an important political, economic, and cultural center of the country. A number of unique modern facilities have been built in the capital, which directly contributes to enhancing Tajikistan's authority in the international arena.
The country's parliament also plays an important role as one of the primary institutions of statehood. Within its constitutional powers, the Majlisi Namoyandagon makes a significant contribution to strengthening the legal foundations of socio-economic development, improving legislation, protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens, and creating favorable conditions for the progress of society.
Today, the initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan aimed at preserving water resources and glaciers and addressing critical environmental issues have received global recognition.
The recent adoption by the United Nations General Assembly of a resolution declaring the International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations (2027–2036) is an important achievement and a reflection of Tajikistan's consistent efforts to promote the global agenda of peace and stability through multilateral dialogue and international cooperation.
Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Mavsuma Muini, Chairman of the Committee on Economy and Finance Ashurzoda Ghiyosiddin, Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture, and Youth Policy Saidvalizoda Barno, and Chairman of the Ecology Commission Amirzoda Orif addressed the attendees with meaningful reports on the significance of state independence and the achievements of the country's workers over the past 35 years.
At the conclusion of the event, in honor of this momentous holiday, by Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, several employees of the Office of the Majlisi Namoyandagon were awarded state honors. Furthermore, in connection with the jubilee date, a number of other employees of the Office of the Majlisi Namoyandagon were awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
