Over the years of state independence, Tajikistan’s industrial sector has undergone significant and successful development. The number of industrial enterprises has increased from 358 in 1991 to more than 3,972.
As part of the implementation of the initiative “2022–2026 – Years of Industrial Development,” with the participation of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, 177 enterprises in various sectors have been commissioned, creating 14,861 permanent jobs, including in mechanical engineering, the food and light industries, construction, and mineral processing.
Overall, during the past seven years alone, more than 2,600 industrial enterprises have been constructed and commissioned, creating over 87,000 jobs.
Zafar Alizoda also visited production facilities manufacturing road-marking paints, raw materials for detergents, and innovative furniture, as well as the modern “Khishti Diyor” enterprise in Levakant. These facilities were built by the Innovation Industrial and Technological Park of Levakant City LLC in preparation for the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and as part of the implementation of the fourth national strategic goal – accelerated industrialization of the country.
These production facilities represent practical examples of the development of domestic production, the introduction of modern technologies, and the creation of new jobs. They also constitute a significant contribution to the development initiatives dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
