Today, a meeting was held at the hall of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe between Dilnoza Ahmadzoda, Deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Deputy Chairpman of the Committee on Law and Order, Defense and Security, and the personnel of the Department.
During the meeting, it was noted that state independence represents the greatest achievement in the modern history of Tajikistan. It was on the foundation of independence that strong foundations were established for the formation of a national state, the strengthening of the legal foundations of statehood, socio-economic development, and the enhancement of Tajikistan’s standing in the international arena.
Particular emphasis was placed on the role of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation and President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in strengthening peace and stability, restoring state institutions, and creating favorable conditions for the country’s progress.
It was noted that over the 35 years of state independence, Tajikistan has passed through crucial stages in the establishment of a legal, democratic, and secular state, during which its legislative framework and state institutions have been consistently improved.
It was emphasized that, amid globalization, changes in the geopolitical environment, and the growing number of modern threats, including terrorism, extremism, transnational crime, illicit drug trafficking, and cybercrime, safeguarding political stability and national security is of paramount importance.
In this regard, the internal affairs bodies, as one of the key law enforcement institutions and a guarantor of public order, play a vital role in implementing state policy aimed at ensuring security, preventing crime, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, and strengthening public confidence in the state.
Dilnoza Ahmadzoda emphasized that the activities of personnel of the internal affairs bodies must always be guided by the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Tajikistan, universally recognized norms of international law, as well as the principles of justice, legality, responsibility, and respect for human rights and freedoms.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of views among the participants on current issues of public and political life, strengthening the rule of law, and ensuring public security.
