On August 26, 2026, a meeting with voters was held in the village of Sarazm, Panjakent, with the participation of the First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Shermuhammad Shohiyon and Deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Parviz Shodizoda.
During the meeting, participants were briefed on the history of Tajikistan’s independence and the contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the restoration of peace and stability and the establishment of the state institutions of the modern Tajik state. The transformation of Tajikistan from a war-torn country into a developing state was also highlighted, along with the importance of the country’s global initiatives, which have received broad support from the international community.
It was emphasized that during the period of independence, major projects have been implemented in Tajikistan in the areas of road infrastructure, transport and energy. In preparation for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, thousands of social and industrial facilities have also been constructed across the country.
At the conclusion of the meeting, voters shared their views on the role of State Independence in the country’s political and social life and expressed their support for Tajikistan’s domestic and foreign policy.
In addition, the deputies visited General Secondary Education Institution No. 72 in Sarazm to review its preparations for the new academic year, as well as the activities of the handicrafts training club operating at the institution. Upon concluding the visit, they expressed satisfaction with the work carried out.
