The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution titled "International Decade on Strengthening Peace for Future Generations, 2027–2036."
The adoption of this important and historic document at the initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and on the eve of the celebration of National Unity Day is profoundly logical. This is because our Head of State has long been globally recognized as an experienced peacemaker, and the people of Tajikistan, having endured the horrors of the civil war, deeply understand the supreme value of peace and stability. Ultimately, this initiative stems from the inherently peace-loving and unity-fostering nature of the Tajik nation.
The primary goals of the Decade of Peace are to contribute to the strengthening of peace and harmony, and to promote dialogue and reconciliation worldwide, ensuring that future generations are saved from the scourge of war and violence.
Undoubtedly, the implementation of this resolution will have a positive impact on millions of people across the globe. By supporting this resolution, the nations of the world have confirmed their readiness to undertake the necessary work to promote peace and solidarity between generations.
