Today, under the chairmanship of Shermuhammad Shohiyon, First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, a meeting was held to discuss migration issues, raising citizens' awareness prior to traveling abroad, vocational training, and compliance with the laws, culture, and customs of host countries.
Shermuhammad Shohiyon noted that, in the context of globalization and the development of the international labor market, migration processes around the world are changing rapidly. Successful labor migration requires not only professional skills but also knowledge of foreign languages, which enhances citizens' competitiveness and facilitates their access to suitable employment abroad.
He further noted that programs for training specialists in high-demand professions are being implemented in the country and are aligned with the requirements of the modern labor market.
The development of transportation and information technologies has facilitated international migration. Specialists in the fields of information technology, medicine, engineering, construction, and education are in particularly high demand in the labor market.
International experience has shown that both migrant-receiving and migrant-sending countries that have implemented effective labor migration policies have been able to utilize migration as a factor contributing to their economic and social development.
“We, as representatives of the people,” said Shermuhammad Shohiyon, “are obliged, alongside fulfilling our mandate, to contribute to the implementation of the Strategy on the Regulation of Migration Processes in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2040. We should conduct explanatory work at the local level during meetings with voters, and recommend safe and effective ways and methods of labor migration.
We should also promote the implementation of the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, aimed at involving the population in vocational training.”
The meeting was also attended by Kholmuhammadzoda Soleha, Minister of Labour, Migration and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan, who delivered a speech.
At the end of the meeting, the deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon received comprehensive and accurate answers to their questions and requests.
