Today, Mavsuma Muini, Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, met with a delegation of leaders and officials from political parties of friendly and partner countries. The delegation gathered in Dushanbe to participate in the Political Parties Forum titled "Political Parties and New Horizons of Cooperation," dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, Mavsuma Muini emphasized that Tajikistan attaches special importance to the development of inter-party cooperation and the exchange of experience, noting that this process contributes to strengthening trust, mutual understanding, and stability in international relations.
Currently, representatives of five political parties, notably the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan, the Agrarian Party of Tajikistan, the Economic Reforms Party of Tajikistan, the Democratic Party of Tajikistan, and the Socialist Party of Tajikistan, operate within the Majlisi Namoyandagon, based on the principles of political pluralism, equality, and constructive cooperation.
In today's global landscape, inter-parliamentary diplomacy is considered a priority area of state foreign policy. It strengthens friendly ties and mutually beneficial cooperation between supreme legislative bodies, providing an opportunity to discuss key regional and international issues at the level of people's representatives.
Inter-parliamentary cooperation with the Russian Federation, the People's Republic of China, and the Republics of Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Uzbekistan, among other friendly nations, is constantly developing.
"Friendship and inter-parliamentary cooperation groups have been established and are operating fruitfully in the representative bodies of our countries. I am confident that your visit to the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan and our meeting today will make a significant contribution to strengthening inter-party dialogue, developing mutual understanding, and expanding international cooperation," Mavsuma Muini concluded.
Following the meeting, the delegation toured the spacious halls of the joint sessions of the Majlisi Milli and the Majlisi Namoyandagon, as well as their respective individual session halls, leaving with positive impressions.
