Today, a parliamentary delegation from the Majlisi Namoyandagon, led by Faizali Idizoda, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, traveled to Saint Petersburg. The delegation accepted the invitation of V. Matvienko, Chairperson of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Council of the CIS states, to participate in the meetings of the IPA CIS Council, as well as its permanent commissions on defense and security, and on political issues and international cooperation.
The parliamentary delegation includes Rustami Shohmurod, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Legislation and Human Rights; Gulzoda Mahmadshoh, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations, and Information; Qodiri Bobojon, member of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Committee on Science, Education, Culture, and Youth Policy; and Faizullozoda Zafar, Head of the Secretariat of the Leadership of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the visit, it is expected that the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda, will meet with high-level delegations from CIS member states to discuss ways of strengthening relations and expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation.
