On May 4, Mavsuma Muini, Deputy Chairьфт of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, and her accompanying delegation met with Aurore Bergé, Minister Delegate for Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination of the French Republic.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of Tajikistan-France cooperation in the field of strengthening the role of women in social and political life, their empowerment, and the protection of human rights.
During the meeting, Mavsuma Muini spoke about the measures taken by the Government to enhance the role of women in society, their involvement in political and social life, guarantees of equal rights for men and women, and the adopted sectoral laws.
The sides also exchanged views regarding cooperation within the framework of international organizations and relevant multilateral platforms.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the working visit of the Tajik parliamentary delegation to exchange experience, which is taking place on May 4–8 with the Parliament and members of the Government of the French Republic.
