Today, Faizali Idizoda, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, met with voters in the rural jamoats of Mehrobod and Safedchashma in Nurobod District to discuss the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the Majlisi Oli, “On the Main Directions of the Domestic and Foreign Policy of the Republic,” delivered on December 16, 2025. During this visit, Idizoda was accompanied by Fazliddin Ikromi, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Majlisi Namoyandagon on Agrarian Issues, Water Resources, and Land.
Idizoda noted that the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the Majlisi Oli, “On the Main Directions of the Domestic and Foreign Policy of the Republic,” is an important strategic and programmatic document that defines the main directions of the country’s sustainable development and creates a reliable foundation for strengthening independence, national unity, and the socio-economic progress of Tajikistan. He stated that this year’s Address began with a review of the most important events of 2025. In the Address, the President of the country recalled the elections of deputies to the Majlisi Namoyandagon, local councils of people’s deputies, and members of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan; the signing of the Treaty between the Republics of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on the junction point of the state borders of the three countries, as well as the Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship signed by the heads of state; and the complete resolution of border issues between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, describing these developments as major political and historical events.
During the presentation of the Address, the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, addressed parents, teachers, and the broader public, emphasizing the importance of approaching the care, education, and proper upbringing of children with the utmost sense of responsibility. “We must remember that the future of the state and the nation deeply depends on a literate and knowledgeable generation—one that is professionally skilled and talented, enlightened and cultured, free from fanaticism and superstition, patriotic and devoted to the homeland, and possessing a high sense of national self-awareness. If we want to have a developed state, a prosperous homeland, and a peaceful life, we must strive to ensure that our children acquire education, knowledge, and professional skills. We must make every effort so that they do not suffer in their future lives—their independent lives. Let us not forget that when adolescents and young people remain uneducated, society becomes afflicted with fanaticism, superstition, and ignorance, which have disastrous consequences.”
Faizali Idizoda emphasized that all citizens must make the instructions and guidance of the President of the country, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, expressed during the Address, a guiding principle in their work and daily activities. He stressed the importance of ensuring that children do not join extremist or dangerous groups. Greater attention should be paid to the education of young people, particularly girls, in medical and technical fields. The Rogun Hydropower Plant, located near Nurobod District, is a source of honor and pride and provides employment opportunities for young people. He noted that the country’s youth should actively participate in this construction project of the century. With a strong, globally oriented culture, young people must not be misled or become enslaved to foreign ideological doctrines.
He also stressed the importance of observing and implementing the national laws “On the Regulation of Traditions and Ceremonies” and “On Responsibility for the Education and Upbringing of a Child.”
