Today, the Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda, received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Guo Zhijun. Mr. Idizoda first congratulated Mr. Guo Zhijun on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan and wished him success in his future diplomatic activities.
It was noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries in 1992, bilateral relations have entered a new stage, rising from ordinary relations to the level of a strategic partnership and allied cooperation. The development of relations between our countries is based on more than 250 bilateral international documents, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the diplomatic efforts of both sides.
Faizali Idizoda emphasized that the achievements attained in our bilateral relations are primarily the result of friendly relations, political will, and the initiatives of the Heads of State — the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Xi Jinping.
A continuous and stable inter-parliamentary dialogue on key issues of the international agenda has been established with the aim of strengthening peace, security, and stability within the framework of the activities of the United Nations, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, and other international organizations.
We highly appreciate the effective and result-oriented development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, which began in 2005.
It was noted that special attention is paid to the development of Tajikistan–China relations in the fields of trade, humanitarian cooperation, culture, education, defense, security, and the exchange of experience across various sectors of the national economy.
It should be emphasized that the progress of our strategic relations is closely linked to the activities of the parliaments of both countries, the expansion of ties, and the ratification of international documents. In this context, the Majlisi Namoyandagon makes its contribution to ensuring the development of bilateral cooperation.
The Majlisi Namoyandagon will continue to make efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership and friendship between our countries. We express our solidarity in developing inter-parliamentary relations within the framework of international parliamentary mechanisms, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the activities of inter-parliamentary friendship groups,” Faizali Idizoda concluded.
