Today, with the aim of conveying the essence and content of the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the Majlisi Oli entitled “On the Main Directions of Domestic and Foreign Policy of the Republic,” delivered on December 16, 2025, a meeting was held in the conference hall of the Executive Authority of State Power of the Kushoniyon District. The meeting was attended by a Member (Deputy) of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nabizoda Tohir, and active representatives of the district.
Nabizoda Tohir noted that the signing of the agreement between the Republics of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan on the junction point of the state borders of the three countries, as well as the Khujand Declaration on Eternal Friendship, represents one of the most significant achievements of Tajik diplomacy in 2025.
He emphasized that the support of the international community for the initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan is among the country’s most important accomplishments. On Tajikistan’s initiative, the 7th session of the United Nations Environment Assembly adopted a resolution entitled “Protection of Glaciers and the Cryosphere, Especially in Mountain Regions.” Additionally, at the initiative of Tajikistan, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution declaring 2027 the “International Year of Legal Awareness.”
The Address of the Leader of the Nation placed special emphasis on the development of innovation, the green economy, information technologies, and the priorities of artificial intelligence. Specialists were tasked with introducing digital technologies and artificial intelligence into public administration. The education-oriented policy of the Leader of the Nation assigns responsibility to officials and employees of the education sector to take measures to enhance teacher training, construct educational institutions, and align the education system with international standards.
