Today, at the conference hall of the State Educational Institution “Presidential School for Gifted Children in Danghara District of Khatlon Region,” a meeting was held with activists and constituents of Danghara District to explain and clarify the Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered on December 16, 2025, “On the Main Directions of Domestic and Foreign Policy of the Republic of Tajikistan.” The meeting was conducted by Gulzoda Mahmadshoh, Deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations, and Information.
In his address, Gulzoda Mahmadshoh spoke on the development of the economy, finance, industry, transport, public services, entrepreneurship, agriculture, education and science, culture, social protection, healthcare, women and their role in the system of state governance, as well as other important sectors outlined in the Address, all of which are directly aimed at ensuring the country’s sustainable socio-economic development.
It was noted that the adoption of resolutions on “The Protection of Glaciers and the Cryosphere, Especially in Mountain Regions,” “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Creating New Opportunities for Sustainable Development in Central Asia,” the inclusion of cultural heritage monuments of Ancient Khuttal in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly declaring 2027 as the “International Year of Legal Awareness” represent some of the country’s major achievements at the international level. As a result, the Republic of Tajikistan is now recognized globally as an initiative-driven country addressing pressing global challenges.
It was also stated that, in connection with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of State Independence, upon the initiative of the Leader of the Nation, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, the year 2026 has been declared the “Year of Expansion of Improvement and Construction Activities and Strengthening National Self-Awareness and Identity,” in honor of this sacred and significant national jubilee.
