Today, the First Deputy Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Shermuhammad Shohiyon; the Chairman of the Ecology Commission of the Majlisi Namoyandagon, Amirzoda Orif; a member of the Committee on Energy, Industry, Construction and Communications, Niyazov Nurali; and a member of the Committee on Social Issues, Family and Health Protection, Shahbozi Abror, held a meeting with constituents in Shohmansur District.
During the meeting, it was noted that the latest Address of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, delivered on 16 December 2025, as a logical continuation of the Addresses of previous years, outlined the next steps of the state and society toward building a just and enlightened society and a democratic, rule-of-law, secular state through political, legal, and cultural actions. It defined the major political and legal goals of the country in line with modern conditions and requirements, and examined the possibility of focusing state policy on specific economic, social, and legal priorities in 2026 and over the next five years up to 2030.
It was emphasized that the slogan “good thoughts, good words, and good deeds” is the highest symbol of humanistic ethics and high culture. These values present the Tajik people as a peace-loving, humane nation with a high level of enlightenment.
In 2025, the country’s gross domestic product reached 173 billion somoni, with real economic growth of 8.4 percent.
Currently, the private sector accounts for 80 percent of goods production and 70 percent of employment in the country and is recognized as the driving force of national development.
In order to achieve one of the national strategic goals — rapid industrialization of the country — during the period of its implementation (2019–2025), that is, over the past seven years, more than 2,600 industrial enterprises have been built and commissioned, creating over 87,000 jobs.
In particular, in 2025 alone, 400 manufacturing enterprises began operations. The level of food security increased from 60 percent in 2015 to 85 percent in 2025.
The development of all spheres of social and state life, as well as the prosperous future of the state and the nation, depends on advanced science and education, the solid foundations of which are being laid today.
The deputies informed constituents about the country’s achievements during the years of independence, its socio-economic development, and the planned increase, from 1 September 2026, in the official salaries of employees in the education, culture, healthcare, and other sectors, taking into account current economic opportunities and the need to further improve the standard of living of the population.
The meetings and discussions of the deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon with their constituents in the cities and districts of the country once again demonstrate that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan consistently pays special attention to ensuring the well-being and decent living standards of the people.
At the conclusion of the meeting, residents and activists of Shohmansur District exchanged views on the topics discussed and also received clear and satisfactory answers to their questions and appeals.
