A Deputy of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and a member of the Committee on Social Issues, Family, and Health Protection, Munavvar Abdusalomzoda, delivered a speech at the Third Meeting of the Speakers of the Parliaments of the Central Asian States and the Republic of Korea, held on 15–17 December in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan. Her presentation was entitled “The Role of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Development of the Digital Economy as a Driver of Economic Cooperation in the Region.”
Munavvar Abdusalomzoda noted that today digital integration is not only a technological process, but also an economic driver that creates new opportunities for cooperation, enhances competitiveness, and promotes sustainable development.
The Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan considers the development of the digital economy to be one of the key directions of state policy. The main task is to create a regulatory and legal framework that provides favorable conditions for the establishment of shared digital platforms, the introduction of electronic document circulation, and the development of cross-border digital services.
Today, decisions and mechanisms are being actively implemented in Tajikistan that enable public authorities and the private sector to transition to digital documentation.
She expressed confidence that sustainable digital development is impossible without close cooperation among the parliaments of the countries of the region. It is precisely at the level of legislative bodies that unified digital standards can be supported and trust in the digital environment strengthened.
Strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue, exchanging experience, and coordinating strategic priorities will pave the way toward the creation of a comprehensive regional digital space, which can become a powerful driver of economic cooperation and prosperity for the countries involved.
This represents an opportunity to increase economic efficiency, create new jobs, strengthen trade relations, and ensure sustainable development.
