Yesterday, deeply sorrowful news reached Samarkand: Muhammadjon Shodiyon — Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture, and Youth Policy of the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan — suddenly passed away at the age of 60. This tragedy profoundly grieved all of our brother’s friends.
Muhammadjon Shodiyon was a knowledgeable, courteous, and compassionate individual, as well as a devoted servant of the nation. Throughout his years of service, he made valuable and lasting contributions to strengthening relations, friendship, and good neighborliness between the fraternal peoples of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
His good name, pure heart, and charitable deeds will forever remain in the memory of the people.
On my own behalf, I extend sincere condolences and deep sympathy to the family, children, relatives, friends, and colleagues of the late Mr. Shodiyon.
May the Most Merciful Allah bestow His special grace and forgiveness upon his pure soul, grant him a place in the Highest Paradise, and bless his loved ones with patience and strength during this difficult time.
