The Chairman of the Committee on State Structure and Local Self-Government, and the Head of the Tajikistan–Saudi Arabia Parliamentary Friendship and Cooperation Group, Ilhom Kamolozoda, met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdurrahman Ar-Reshaidan.
It was noted that the inter-parliamentary friendship groups play an important role in developing political, economic, cultural, and social relations between our countries.
Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia have historically enjoyed friendly relations and mutual respect. We believe that the expanded activity of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups can elevate these relations to a new level. Parliaments, as representative and legislative institutions, can strengthen not only political ties but also deepen economic and cultural cooperation.
Ilhom Kamolozoda emphasized that we support the renewal and expansion of working visits by parliamentary delegations. Through such visits, members of parliament can directly familiarize themselves with the legislative and economic policy experiences of both countries.
It was proposed to organize joint roundtables in which key topics — legislation, economic development, investment, and the fight against extremism — would be discussed. Such meetings would facilitate the exchange of useful experience and the establishment of joint working groups.
