As previously reported, from October 8 to 10 of this year, regular sessions of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS IPA) and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA) were held in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation.
Deputies of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan also participated in the sessions and delivered speeches.
The sessions focused on strengthening interstate cooperation, expanding the legislative framework, and ensuring regional security.
By the decision of the Permanent Commission of the CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly on Social Policy and Human Rights, Ms. Mujibakhon Javhari, Chairwoman of the Committee on Social Issues, Family, and Health Protection of the Majlisi Namoyandagon of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, was elected Deputy Chair of the Permanent Commission of the CIS IPA on Social Policy and Human Rights.
Additionally, participants exchanged views on the further development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
